We are glad to share with you today’s recipe: The Akpi Sauce
For this specific recipe you would need:
– 3 Habanero peppers
– 2 to 3 roma tomatoes
-One half of diced onion/one whole onion
– SomeTurkey
-Smoked Beef neck bone(previously broiled)
-Some mushroom
-Smoked fish
-Some Akpi
-one tablespoon of tomato paste
-Some seasoning cube or salt
Step1
-In a pot, boil the turkey, the smoked fish, the smoked beef neck bone,the mushrooms, the tomatoes ,the peppers, the diced onion, the whole onion, and the tablespoon of tomato paste.
Boil until the onion and the tomatoes are cooked.(Make sure to remove the smoked fish after a couple minutes).
Turn the fire on medium heat.
***Don’t forget to take off the smoked fish after a couple minutes of cooking, otherwise it will scatter in the pot.
Step 2
While the meats are cooking,take some Akpi and fry it in a pan without any type of grease(no oil or butter).When you see a dark crust forming on top of the Akpi’s seed, it is ready.
Step 3
Blend the Fried Akpi and the onion,the tomatoes together.Add the seasoning cube and peppers.
Step 4
Put the fire on high,and let it cook for 10 to 15 min.
Step 5
Put back the smoked fish and let it seamer. It is ready !
You may serve it with rice.
